Billing Issues

 

ALWAYS ENTER PATIENT INFO CORRECTLY!

Several things will happen if you do not:

 

·        If the insurance information is entered incorrectly claims will be denied – so we will not get prompt payment.

 

·        If the patient’s address in entered incorrectly statements get returned – so again we will not get prompt payment – in addition we will have to spend more because we will have to resend the statement.

 

·        If there is a referral error and the proper waiver was not signed we have no choice but to write off the visit – this means we are unable to bill the patient and the payment to the Center will be $0.

 

·        When making appointments always enter the correct doctor that will be seeing the patient. They should be entered in Centricity and on the schedule.

 

All of these problems affect our profits and ultimately, the amounts of your raises and bonuses.
